This lab has equipment to process various food products including:

- Fruit and vegetable processing

2. Food Chemistry/Analysis Laboratory
The Food Chemistry Laboratory facilities allows students to carry out of complex food chemistry experiments such as rheology/viscosity, extraction of Bioactives and monitoring of temperature controlled experiments such as fermentation. The Department is acquiring Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) for analysis of elements.
3.Food Microbiology Laboratory
In Meru University of Science and Technology, it is possible to carry simple to complex molecular biology experiments. Ranging from gene sequencing to complex microscopy.
