How to Apply for University and Tertiary Courses in Kenya: KUCCPS Portal Launched
The University and Tertiary selection process for the 869,782 candidates who sat the 2022 Kenya certificate of secondary education was officially launched by Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu. While launching the online selection portal at the University of Nairobi Education Cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced that the placement online service has for the first time published all the fees details of all higher education programs in the website it details which will be accessible for all students. Learners can also apply for their courses from all of the 52 HUDUMA center’s countrywide with the assistance of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service(KUCCPS) officers. A total of 173127 candidates who attained the minimum university entry grade of a C + (plus) in the 2022 KCSE examinations qualified for the automatic placement in universities. CS Machogu who spoke during the 7th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week at the University of Nairobi reiterated that learners enrolling at private universities will not receive government scholarships or grants but will only access government loans.
